Some people see ego as a major flaw in character.
However, this is not entirely correct. Ego can work in two directions.
The actual effect of using ego will be seen when it is combined with the thing one values the most and is willing to protect.
Take a man for example, if his values integrity above all else, he may do things that would even jeopardize other areas of his life without fear of repercussions.
Now, let’s take a man who values his family above integrity and all else, he may also do things that would in ways leave major marks on his person and integrity to ensure his family is well taken care of.
The bottom line, is to know what your ego is mostly tied to, and look for that in others who you wish to partner with.
If you know someone’s ego is tied to being always right, then you will be best served to feed this person with situations that will require their use of the “rightness” at all times.
And, if you know someone whose ego is ties to being seen as beautiful, it would best serve you to get this person in places where they shine for the whole room to see them.
But never forget this one thing; NEVER choose a partner, or leader without knowing what their ego is tied to.
